The body found in Sanford on Tuesday has been identified as Tiffany Church, the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Wednesday.

Tiffany Church, 35, had been missing since last week, and her boyfriend was found dead Saturday in Lake Jesup Park. The investigation is continuing.

The death of 26-year-old Trodarius Rainey is being investigated as a homicide, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Church’s sister, Treneice Church, said Monday the family whad reached out to the nonprofit search and rescue organization Texas EquuSearch, in addition to cooperating with the Sheriff’s Office.

Texas EquuSearch has been involved in several high-profile missing-persons cases, including Central Florida's Caylee Anthony, Belle Isle's Stephanie Hollingsworth, and Fort Hood Pfc. Vanessa Guillen.

K-9 units searched extensively throughout the Sanford area Monday for any signs of Church, the Sheriff’s Office said. 

At Lake Jesup Park, where Rainey was found, deputies had carried out a search with a police dog. A small group of people who said they were close with Rainey and/or Church gathered at the scene as well.

Church has two young sons, Wimberly said.
