TAMPA, Fla. — If Tom Brady is the greatest of all time, then three men are easily the greatest fans of all time. Tom Henschel, Don Crisman, and Gregory Eaton have never missed a Super Bowl, ever. They are true football fans.

“Five years old, my dad started taking me and my brother Jim to every high school game when we were 4 and 5 years old," said Henschel. “We’d see a high school game on Friday, Pitt game on Saturday, and the Steelers on Sunday. We never got any homework done.”

These guys are all part of the Never Miss A Super Bowl Club. Men who have been to all 54 Super Bowls. The group was larger, but as the years continue, members have passed away. Hensechel is 79, Eaton is 81, and Crisman is 85.

The men are famous now, too, for their unbroken attendance streak. They have been on newspaper covers, in magazines, and they even did a Super Bowl commercial with Visa a few years back.

But in January, they got some tough news from the NFL.

An email from the NFL said, “Unfortunately, amidst the current environment and the uncertainty surrounding us in 2020, we are not in a position to offer you your group tickets for this years Super Bowl.”

But the men persisted.

“I kept calling the NFL ticket office every three days. ‘Have you changed your mind? Is there any update? I need to go to this game,’” said Henschel.

Finally the call came with the news they had been waiting for, they were in.

“They called and said, 'Give me your credit card right now,'" laughed Henschel. "'Give me your credit card,' and then a couple of days later it came on my phone.”

They got to pay face value for the tickets at $2,500 each. All three men got two tickets each.

“My wife has decided she is going," said Henshcel, when asked who his other ticket would go to. "She is more of a Bucs fan than I am. So she is excited, she told all her friends.”

The tickets are different this year. The NFL chose to do digital tickets instead of paper ones. But Henschel said the NFL said they would mail him the ticket stubs after the game so he can add them to his collection.

“The streak will continue this year," said Henschel, with the smile.

All three men will be attending the game.
