TAMPA, Fla. — A former Tampa teacher has been found not guilty of having sex with his students, according to the Hillsborough County Clerk of Court PIO.

Alex Hull, who taught 8th grade Algebra at Benito Middle School, was charged with several counts of sexual battery, lewd and lascivious conduct, and showing obscene materials to a minor, back in 2018. It had been reported that Hull had "relationships" with two underage students for about six months. The incidents were said to have occurred between November of 2017 and May of 2018.

Hull was arrested just days before the first day of class in August of 2018. Hull had worked at the school since 2014.

His trial started last Friday and the jury found Hull not guilty on all counts.
