TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa's Greyhound Track, serving as a federal COVID-19 vaccination site, is now transitioning to the final phase of operations as it is expected to close May 26.
Starting today, the site will only be administering the Johnson & Johnson one does shots or the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
First doses of the vaccine have been stopped, as the site transitions to its closing date.

The Greyhound Track in Tampa is walk-up site and appointments are not required.
In Hillsborough County, more than 519,000 residents have received at the least the first does of the vaccine.
More than 55% of the counties seniors, 65 and up, have been fully vaccinated. Just over 30% of county residents ages 16 and up have been vaccinated.
Hillsborough County is home to more than 100 fixed vaccinations sites including county, state and federal sites, as well as local pharmacies and stores participating.
