TAMPA, Fla. — Thousands of Floridians could face eviction over the next month.
They were shielded from eviction during the pandemic, but as of this past weekend the Centers For Disease Control’s moratorium on evictions has expired.

- Florida has distributed only 2% of federal funds provided to help renters

The moratorium expired Saturday. Landlords, meanwhile, are getting ready to file eviction papers in local courts.
But there is some help is available for Bay area residents.
Polk County extended their rental assistance to august 13.
Mantaee County’s assistance has been extended through November.
Pinellas County is still accepting applications and Pasco is offering information.
Citrus County's voucher program waiting list is now open and click for information on Hernando County housing.
And the Tampa Housing Authority on Monday began administering Emergency Housing Vouchers.
These resources are for individuals who did not pay their rent between September 4, 2020 through June 30, 2021.
And tenants may also still be evicted for reasons other than not paying rent.
