The Health Department also has a program working with businesses to set up vaccination events at their location, so employees can get the shot right at their job.

Health officials said now that President Biden mandated large employers to require employees to be vaccinated, that program is really taking off.

Employers like the Home Shopping Network, one of the county’s largest, already held an event at its headquarters.

As always, the vaccines are free of charge, and if you receive a shot at one of the outreach events, you also receive a $20 food voucher from the Health Department.

Thursday’s event starts at 10 a.m., and runs through 1 p.m., weather permitting.
