PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. — Several homes in Pinellas County were damaged as a line of severe storms moved across the Bay Area Sunday morning.

“The winded sounded loud like a train,” St. Peter resident Kristen South said.

South said she lost power right away and the storms knocked down her fence.

“I have never seen anything like this,” South explained. “We get storms all the time, and it never looked this bad.”

Clearwater Fire & Rescue reported that one tree snapped in half and partially landed on a multi-family home.

Two units were completely flooded, but no injuries were reported.

“It’s not a great situation being that there is a massive hole in their roofs,” Property Manager Reese Register said. “But we are taking care of them as fast as we can, to fix it.”

So far this season, it has been the strongest front to move through the Bay Area.

“We live in Florda and anything can happen,” South expressed. “I’m just glad everyone is safe and all the babies are safe.”
