ORLANDO, Fla. — Star Wars fans will be able to explore the world of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in a whole new way with a limited-time virtual reality experience at Disney Springs.

What You Need To Know

  • A Star Wars virtual reality experience is available at Disney Springs for limited time

  • Visitors can enjoy a free preview of Star Wars: Tales from Galaxy's Edge

  • The experience was made possible through a partnership with Meta Quest and ILMxLAB

  • The VR experience will be available through July 21 at the former NBA Experience building

A free preview of the Meta Quest VR Experience featuring ILMxLAB’s Star Wars: Tales from Galaxy’s Edge will be held starting Monday through July 21 from noon to 10 p.m. in the building previously occupied by The NBA Experience.

The VR experience will give fans a chance to try out Quest 2 headsets while exploring Batuu in 360-degree views. They can step inside Seezelslak’s Cantina, venture into the wilds of Batuu, play the chromarimba or face off against the Gavin Death Gang.

During the limited-time preview, those who complete the experience will also be able to receive giveaways and purchase Meta Quest 2 onsite.

To participate in the experience, visitors must be at least 13 years old.

Disney Springs had a virtual reality experience called The Void a few years ago. The experience, which closed during the pandemic and never reopened, featured the Star Wars-themed experience, “Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire.”
