LAND O' LAKES, Fla. — Classes have resumed as normal after a first-day-of school threat at a Pasco County middle school.

Students at Rushe Middle School were evacuated after a reported bomb threat out of an abundance of caution, according to Pasco County Sheriff's Office.

PSO deputies responded to a reported social media threat Wednesday morning that was posted over the weekend in a social media thread from last school year.

Students and faculty were evacuated so PSO could thoroughly search the school. Nothing was found during the search, according to officials. At this time, classes have resumed as normal and there is no threat to the school.

PSO encourages residents to report any threats or suspicious incidents to their tips line, at at 1-800-706-2488 or online
