TAMPA, Fla. — The former ice cream man facing a retrial in the murders of two Ruskin men has been found guilty.

After 13 hours of deliberation over three days, a jury found Michael Keetley, 52, guilty in the shooting deaths of two men and injuring two others in a 2010 shooting outside a home in Ruskin.

Keetley was found guilty of two counts of murder and guilty on four counts of attempted first-degree murder.

Prosecutors said he targeted the wrong group of people on a Ruskin front porch in retaliation for his own shooting and robbery of $12 from his ice cream truck, a purple vehicle that was a familiar sight in the neighborhood.

Brothers Juan and Sergio Guitron died in the Thanksgiving 2010 shooting at a Ruskin home. Four other men were seriously injured.

Keetley had maintained his innocence for 12 years.

The guilty verdict closes Hillsborough County's longest-running case.
