CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. — Two people escaped serious injuries Sunday night when their small plane crashed.
According to the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, the small plane went down near Fairwind Loop in the town of Hernando.
Authorities said the small two-passenger plane crashed after it struck a tree while attempting to land.
The two occupants were both transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation and no further information has been released.
