ORLANDO, Fla. — Downtown Orlando is taken over right now by about 1,000 some of the most creative people in the area working to bring art closer to the public.
IMMERSE 2021 is a three-day interaction art takeover in downtown Orlando.
About 1,000 artists and performers will put on hundreds of shows, displays, expressions, exhibits, stories — you name it. The event allows you to get close to and even inside the art.
Cole NeSmith is the executive director of Creative City Project. “[[IMMERSE]] all got started because in 2012, I looked around at all these creative friends I have and thought that we could work to make Orlando a more interesting and creative place to live,” he said while helping with setup for Day 1.
IMMERSE continues from 5 p.m. to 11p.m. Friday and Saturday nights, Oct. 15 and 16. General admission is $10 (plus about $1.35 in fees). VIP packages are also available.
Sunday's experience is called Color Day, and you select when you want your 60-minute timeslot to begin.
