KISSIMMEE, Fla. — One man is dead and three others were injured during a drive-by shooting, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

The shooting took place outside of the Key West Market, near Tremont Ave and Old Dixie Highway in Kissimmee. Neighbors in the community told News 13 that the area is known for drug activity.

Audible screams were heard near the mobile command center coming from the family of the victim. Mental health coordinators were on scene to provide support to the family of the victims.

The young man killed was identified as 27-year-old Jaqwan Dockery. One woman we spoke to on-scene, who appeared to be distraught by the news, said she was friends with the victim and that he did not deserve this. 

Sheriff Marcos Lopez said the injured individuals were transported to a local hospital and that he didn’t have many details on their condition but that they appeared to be stable.

The sheriff’s office is gathering evidence to try and make an arrest but did not release any information on a description for the suspect or suspects.
