They are the best of the best.

They succeed.

They stand out.

They dominate.

On the field, they excel with equal parts skill and size and speed. Off the field, their personalities are varied, but linked by a common passion and goal.

Bright House Sports Network goes inside the helmet with the best prep players in our coverage area (Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas and Polk counties). Watch their videos with our daily Top 25 countdown to learn why these players stand out, why they succeed, why they dominate and why they are the best.

The countdown begins with No. 25.

No. 25 Rex Culpepper

Plant High School

Position: QB

Class: 2016

College: Culpepper verbally committed to Syracuse.

Fun Fact: Forget professional football. Culpepper would love to be a pro dirt biker, pro snowboarder or pro wakeboarder. The quarterback has a little bit of a daredevil in him. Check out his video to see what else motivates him.

The BHSN Top 25 Football Players were voted on by members of the Tampa Bay area Bright House Sports Network staff that cover our seven-county region (Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas and Polk).

*Editor’s note: Culpepper suffered a season-ending knee injury at the USF Sling and Shoot last month. He was selected to the BHSN Top 25 before the injury.
