Over 800 Rowdies fans and season ticket holders packed the Mahaffey Theatre in downtown St. Petersburg for their season kickoff event.
The Rowdies are eager to get underway after missing out on the NASL playoffs last year by just two points. The last time they made the postseason, they won the whole thing in 2012.
The team unveiled new primary and alternative jerseys, a new mascot (Pete the Pelican) and a new partnership with Bright House Sports Network. BHSN will televise every home game from April to October.
"The amount of people that Bright House has, that are gonna be able to watch this game are vast," said Rowdies team owner Bill Edwards.
"That gives us great coverage all over the state,so we're very thrilled to have Bright House as a partner, as a sponsor and our TV carrier. We're gonna give you a good show and just tune in."
The Rowdies home and season opener is April 2nd.
