The rise of Tampa Catholic High School Small Forward Kevin Knox started in the summer of 2015. He had an unbelievable growth spurt that took him from 6’4”, four-star football recruit to 6’7”, five-star basketball phenom.  But, Knox's growth didn't end there.

Knox began to focus on getting his mindset right before every game.  Knox said he understood that not only were fans, friends, kids, and coaches coming out to see him play, but that scouts from top schools like Duke University and the University of North Carolina were coming out to see him play as well.

Tampa Catholic High School boys’ basketball head coach / Athletic Director Don Dziagwa said he’s pleased with Knox’s evolution from his freshman year to his senior year.  Dziagwa believes that Knox's mental game complimenting his physical game will be key to Knox potentially winning a gold medal with the USA Men's Basketball U-17 team and helping the Crusaders reach the state finals.

Knox heads to U-17 training camp on June 10, 2016 in Colorado Springs, CO, and hopes to be one of only 12 athletes to make the team that competes for a world championship in Zaragoza, Spain in July.
