Golf is a game of precision and nobody tries to be more precise with his game then Sunlake High School senior Jordan Sarhaddi.

"I have always been a hrad worker, says Jordan, but really this season is when it's taken the most notice too"

Jordan and his teamates are headed to the FHSAA State Golf Tournament this week at Howey In The Hills, Sarhaddi and the Seahawks finished off an undefeated regular season and captured the 2A Region 5 Title.

Jordan is Sunlake's number one golfer and makes his second straight trip to States and hopes to improve on his 16th place finish, but his way of preparing to play may be a little different then most.

Sarhaddi is referred to by his friends as "The Gadget Man", the senior has an affection for things that can improve his putting game, gadgets that may look unusual to most.

"A lot of people have never really seen them before says Jordan, I believe these things will help me be a bit more specific and simulate more difficult situations like I'll see on the course"

"Where did these things come from, says his Head Coach Bob Camps, putting is an important part of the game so I can see why they are so imporant to him."

Jordan will set up three or four different "gadgets" on the green, a putting arc with a mirror, to keep his putting stroke on path to the hole, a Pelz Putting Tutor with four little marbles on the end of it that makes sure his putts start on line, if he pulls or pushes the putt he will knock the marbles off. Finally an alignment stick layed out on the green with a pair of tees seperated inches apart to keep his shoulders square and the gates set up to make sure the ball runs straight.

All of these things that Jordan uses were found online because he either saw someone else using them or he researched them on the internet. What have all these unuusal looking things done for his golf game?

"I've probably seen two putts around average decrease in my score which could take even par to under par round, any stroke really helps".

Jordan will continue his golf career in college at UCF, from there he hopes a college career becomes a PGA Tour career, but all that is still ahead of him, right now his only focus is on an individual and a State title this weekend.
