“I’m a season ticket holder. It’s been different with COVID but I went to see them play in Atlanta,” said longtime Bucs fan Chris Chambers.

“If the Kansas City Chiefs comes out here we’ll show them back to Kansas City with that L.”

Chambers said that he will be at the Super Bowl this year. It will be played February 7.

“I don’t need to tell you guys what to do,” said Chambers. “You guys got this – Let’s go Bucs!”

Former Bucs quarterback Shaun King said the city of Tampa is ready for this opportunity.

“Everybody was on cloud 9, we’ve been waiting a long time,” said King. “We didn’t get a chance to do it here in front of our fans, our city, our community - this one’s going to be extra special.”

This will be the second time the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will play in the Super Bowl. The first time around was in 2002. King was a quarterback at the time and able to experience what it’s like to make it to the Super Bowl. The Bucs beat the Raiders 48-21.

“As a kid, I actually used to sneak out of church because that’s the only time they were on TV,” said King. “It’s going to be a huge boost for the economy and a huge experience for everyone who has been a die hard Bucs fan like myself.”

King has hopes to attend the game but said he’s seen tickets priced at over $8,000.

Raymond James Stadium will welcome 22,000 fans for the game.
