DADE CITY, Fla. - Logan Haga’s definitely left his mark.

His footprints are all over the Pasco High tennis courts. And his legacy well cemented with multiple state championships. But his reputation extended past his own high school.

“Actually in Pasco County, fear,” Pasco tennis coach Mickey Wilks said. “For a lot of teams, they were like, oh gosh. we’re playing Logan.”

The rest of the state felt that too when Logan won his second-consecutive state championship. It likely would have been three in a row if Covid hadn’t prematurely ended his junior season.

“I just love the grind and the athleticism and everything about it,” Logan said. “It’s all about quickness. I’ve always been pretty fast. It just feels like natural.”

Logan is taking his talents to Jacksonville State in Alabama where he hopes his tennis future really comes into focus.

“I’m going to try my best and see what happens,” he said. “I’m sure there will be a lot of improvements in college.

“So I’m going to try and play a few of the smaller pro events once I get there and see how it goes.”
