SARASOTA, FL – The following is a conversation between Spectrum Sports 360’s Chris Torello and new Bucs quarterback Kyle Trask at the Dick Vitale Gala in Sarasota, May 7.

CHRIS TORELLO: So Kyle what has this draft process, and now post-draft process been like, must be a whirlwind?

KYLE TRASK:  Absolutely. The draft process just consisted of a lot of training, a lot of interviews, obviously, and then post-draft has been just nothing short of even more craziness, but I am just super excited to be here in Tampa and just ready to get started.

CHRIS TORELLO: When that call came through and you see the Tampa Bay area code, what was going through your mind as you’re sitting there on the couch?

KYLE TRASK: That I am not going to have to move my stuff very far. I’m already in Gainesville, Florida, so that was one of the first things I thought of when I saw that Tampa Bay area code pop up. I can just go and get a U-Haul instead of having to ship my stuff on the plane.

CHRIS TORELLO: You talk to Bruce Arians, you talk to Jason Licht, those are the architects of a Super Bowl winning team – what does that mean to you that they saw enough in you to say ‘hey, come to Tampa’?

KYLE TRASK: It means everything. Obviously, they just won the Super Bowl and they’re returning all of their starters. Their organization is in a great spot and just to come in and be part of a special team like this, it means everything.

CHRIS TORELLO: Tom Brady wants to get to work with you. What’s that mean to you?

KYLE TRASK: It’s incredible. That is somebody that I have looked up to for most of my life ever since I started playing quarterback. So, to now be in the same room that he is going to be in, I am just going to be a sponge and soak up as much knowledge as I can.

CHRIS TORELLO: How much fun it is to go from guys like Kyle Pitts and Kadarius Toney and now you will throw to guys like Mike Evans and Ron Gronkowski?

KYLE TRASK: It’s amazing. To play with talented guys in college and now in the NFL, those guys can make your job easier as a QB to have those incredible guys out there running route for you.

CHRIS TORELLO: What are your expectations as we start to make our way through the minicamps and then everything in the summer?

KYLE TRASK: I think its important not to set super expectations. I think its just about coming in and having an open mind and just do whatever you can to help the team.
