ORLANDO, Fla. — A chilly start to our Monday with most down in the 40s and even some of our northern spots in the upper 30s.

We had a quiet, sunny afternoon, but temperatures only made it into the mid to upper 60s. Our chilly weather sticks around for one more night before a warm up starts Tuesday afternoon and continues the rest of the week.

Clear skies will continue through the overnight hours. It will be quiet and cold as we head toward daybreak Tuesday with temperatures down in the mid to upper 40s. A little colder in Marion County where temperatures may fall to around 40 degrees. You’ll need the jacket in the morning, but not so much for the afternoon.

High pressure building across the southeastern U.S. is set to provide us a quiet and gorgeous holiday week ahead, deflecting any systems well to our north.

After a chilly start to our Tuesday, sunshine will help warm us into the low to mid-70s. We may see patchy areas of fog develop toward dawn Wednesday and again pre-sunrise on Thanksgiving.

Ample sun and even warmer temperatures are around Wednesday and Thursday as we top the upper 70s to lower 80s.

Although a weak front slips in our direction late Thursday, it’ll pass without moisture and really not impact our temps. We’ll keep highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s for Friday and Saturday with a mostly sunny sky.

The next front is forecast to slide in Sunday, bringing rain coverage up to 30-percent. Behind the front, we’ll drop into the upper 60s to low 70s Monday.

Beach and Surf Conditions

Local surfers will be disappointed in the wave action Tuesday, thanks to minor east to east-southeast swell traces and wave heights of only one to two feet.

Lingering long period swells stick around tomorrow giving us a moderate threat of rip currents. Sea surface temps are currently in the upper 60s to low 70s.

Tropical Update

In the tropics, no tropical development is expected in the next five days.

The 2019 hurricane season wraps up on November 30th.
