A strong cold front will move across the eastern U.S. this week, bringing heavy snow and freezing temperatures that could affect holiday traveling. Areas in the Midwest will get hit the hardest with snow, but areas in the Northeast will also see some snow pile up.

Almost everyone across the eastern half of the U.S. will drop 20 to 30 degrees below their average temperature on Friday and Saturday.

Couple the snow and cold temperatures with the gusty winds and we'll also deal with blowing snow and freezing wind chills.
