The Great Candy Race

It's that time of year again! Now in its 7th Year, CFC Tampa’s Spring Outreach, The Great Candy Race, continues the tradition of The Great Egg Race by creating a community bonding experience, while providing the children of with fun activities, and a safe and welcoming environment to enjoy with their family. 2017 Mayor’s Mac and Cheese Throwdown

Saturday, 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.

This FREE, signature event celebrates numerous local Tampa restaurants and their version of the culinary dish. Sampling tickets can be purchased on site to try various styles of the classic dish. In addition to Mac & Cheese tastings, the Mayor’s Mac & Cheese Throwdown will feature a stage with live entertainment of local and regional musical talent, craft beer / wine vendors and games / activities for all ages. The Miracle Worker in Sanford

Saturday, 2 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Immortalized onstage and screen by Anne Bancroft and Patty Duke, this classic tells the story of Annie Sullivan and her student, blind and mute Helen Keller. The Miracle Worker dramatizes the volatile relationship between the lonely teacher and her charge. Trapped in a secret, silent world, unable to communicate, Helen is violent, spoiled--almost sub-human--and treated by her family as such.
