D23, the official Disney fan club, has announced a slate of events for 2018, including a Mickey Mouse birthday celebration at Walt Disney World.

Destination D: Happy Birthday Mickey will be held at Disney’s Contemporary Resort on Nov. 18, 2018. The event will mark the 90 years since the famous mouse made his debut in 1928’s “Steamboat Willie.” To celebrate, fans will be able to enjoy presentations, panels, a pop-up store, a new exhibit from the Walt Disney Archives and more.
Mickey will soon be featured in his own attraction at Hollywood Studios. Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway will be located at the former site of The Great Movie Ride.
Mickey’s birthday celebration isn’t the only D23 event taking place at Disney World next year.
Other events include a 20th anniversary celebration of Disney’s Animal Kingdom in April, the opening of Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in the summer and a Sip and Stroll gathering at Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.
Special screenings of classic Disney movies, including Peter Pan and Mary Poppins, will also be held at Disney World throughout the year.
