Officials at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino opened the job fair hours early to accommodate hundreds of job seekers standing in long lines.

The job fair was scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Monday but officials decided to open the doors after lines started forming at 5:30 a.m.

According to officials, more than 1,000 people had entered the job fair by mid-morning. Hard Rock officials say no more interviews are planned Monday. However others will be asked to return later in the week.

Casino spokeswoman Gina Morales says more than 3,000 people registered early to fill some 400 positions.

The jobs include chefs, bartenders, servers cashiers and technicians for a $75 million expansion. The first phase is expected to open in June.
