Two suspects have been arrested in connection to a provocative Bay area website that showed women getting into fights with homeless men.
Shefights.net is an Internet site that feature homeless men being beaten by various women for which the men were paid to fight.
St. Petersburg Police detectives announced Friday the arrests of Jeffrey Williams, 59, and Zuzu Irvina Vargo, 25, both of St. Pete, were arrested and each charged with two counts of aggravated abuse of a disabled adult stemming from their alleged participation of the SheFights.net site.
Both Williams and Vargo are being held on a $100,000 bond.
According to detectives, Friday's arrests are the conclusion of a year-long investigation after two male participants in Shefight.net were identified and determined to be "mentally incapacitated or to have mental limitations that restrict their ability to perform normal activities of daily living."
Investigators said they determined both men were video recorded by Williams, at his home, while being by beaten by Vargo. Detectives also believe Williams was responsible for the recruiting of the two men for the Shefight.net production.
