A woman and a teenage boy have been arrested in connection with the shooting of four people in Plant City this past weekend.

Giovanna Blanco, 36, and a 15-year-old male were arrested in connection with the shooting, which took place Sunday evening at the Woodbridge Apartments in Plant City.

Police are still searching for Blanco's husband, 30-year-old Luis Acosta Sr., who investigators say pulled the trigger in the shootings.

According to police, the suspects were involved in an ongoing dispute with one of the victims, 17-year-old Hugo Alvarez.  On Sunday, Alvarez, along with four other people, returned to the Woodbridge Apartments to gather his personal belongings from an apartment, where he had been staying, police said.

While inside the complex, Blanco approached the group and began arguing with them, police said.  Blanco left and returned minutes later with a baseball bat, which she then used to threaten the group, the report said.

The group got into a vehicle and tried to leave, but as they did so, Acosta approached the vehicle while armed with a handgun.  He fired several shots into the vehicle, hitting four of the five occupants, police said.

The victim who was not shot got out of the vehicle and tried to run away, but police said she was pursued by Blanco, who was armed with a baseball bat.

Meanwhile, the teenager, who was also armed with a baseball bat, walked up to the vehicle and hit Alvarez multiple times with the baseball bat, police said.

Alvarez and Sheraye Hicks, 20, were taken to Tampa General Hospital in critical condition.  There is no word as to their condition.

Also shot were 18-year-old Dilworth Gilley - police say that may not be his real name - and Derrick Reese, whose age wasn't given.

Blanco and the teenager were arrested Thursday night in Kissimmee.  Blanco has been charged with aggravated assault.  The teenager is facing charges of attempted murder.  Bay News 9 is not releasing his name as it is not yet known whether he will be charged as an adult.

Detectives are still looking for Acosta Sr., who is wanted on four counts of attempted murder and one count of shooting into an occupied vehicle.  They said they believe Acosta has fled the area and they are working with the U.S. Marshal's Office to track him down.

Anyone with information about the shootings is asked to call Det. Sergeant James Shultz of the Plant City Police Department Major Crimes Unit.
