A new campaign to promote Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport seems to be working.
More people are flying in and out of the airport. In June, the airport saw more than 95,000 passengers, which is an increase of nearly 10 percent over the same time last year.
The newly released data comes on the heels of the airport's new campaign which is meant to encourage more residents of Sarasota and Manatee counties to use the local airport instead of driving to other airports in nearby counties.
