Occupy Tampa's time at Voice of Freedom Park in West Tampa may have run out.
Joe Redner, who owns the private park, has told the movement to clear out of the park by Sept. 15.
Redner, well known for his Tampa strip clubs, told the group they can stay at the park through the Republican National Convention but would have to vacate after the Aug. 27-30 event.
A group of West Tampa business owners and residents recently created a petition saying that the Occupy movement has turned the park, located in the 2100 block of west Main Street, into a makeshift homeless camp.
The Tampa City Council is scheduled to meet on Aug. 16 to hear a report from police, code enforcement and the health department about Occupy's impact on the park and surrounding community.
On the Occupy Tampa website, there is an acknowledgment of the petition.
