Republican politicians won't get Tampa to themselves next week.
Vice President Joe Biden will travel to the Tampa area for campaign events while the Republican National Convention is underway, the Obama-Biden campaign said in a news release Tuesday.
Biden is scheduled to speak in the Tampa area on Monday, the first day of the convention, and will be in other cities Monday and Tuesday.
The campaign said additional details on the vice president's visit are forthcoming.
Biden and President Obama will get center stage at the Democratic National Convention the week of Sept. 3 in Charlotte, N.C.
