A Pinellas County teacher has been arrested after allegedly stealing and selling an iPad from from a school where she was employed.

According to a Pinellas County Sheriff's Office arrest report, Julia King, 34, of Naples, was arrested at a home in Palm Harbor around 2:20 p.m. Friday following an investigation that began in September 2011.

Burglary and Pawn Unit detectives began investigating the case after the iPad was reported missing by the school. On May 8, a routine pawn inquiry by detectives found the iPad was sold to a local Best Buy on April 26 for $145 by King, officials said.

She was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on a felony charge of dealing in stolen property.

According to deputies, King had been employed as a teacher at Dunedin Middle School and later transferred to East Lake High School.
