Tuesday's final sendoff for shuttle Endeavour has been delayed again until Wednesday.

The space shuttle was supposed take off on top of a 747 Monday morning. However, bad weather was blamed for this postponement.

NASA managers said a low pressure front in the northern Gulf of Mexico is generating thunderstorms along the predicted flight path.

Shuttle Endeavour, attached to the back of a modified 747 was gently pushed out of the mating/demating device Sunday, in preparation to its long flight to Los Angeles.

Endeavour was supposed to take off Monday and land near Johnson Space Center in Houston Wednesday evening. However, NASA is hoping to wait out the weather there and now Endeavour and the 747 are set to take off Wednesday morning at the same time, at sunrise around 7:15 a.m.

NASA does warn that some flybys, along its path, may now have to be canceled. We’re still expecting the shuttle to fly by the Space Coast beaches, all the way from KSC down to Patrick Air Force Base.

NASA’s team did put in place an extra day in Houston, so Endeavour and its ride should still arrive at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday.
