Hillsborough County Fire Rescue responded to a report of an accident in the area of Hwy 301 north and Ohio Ave.
Upon arrival, officials said they found two vehicles with extensive front end damage.
The only occupants of each vehicle were the drivers.
One driver was transported to TGH with minor injuries, and the other driver was fatally injured.
Currently Hwy 301 is shut down in both directions, and the scene is under investigation with FHP.
