A Holiday man is facing charges after deputies said he attacked his wife for serving soup that wasn't up to his standards.

Charles Hyson Jr. was arrested Saturday night on charges of domestic battery.

Deputies said Hyson, 51, was eating some of his wife's homemade chicken soup when he discovered a bone. He became so angry that deputies said he flipped over the living room table.

Hyson is then accused of grabbing his wife out of her chair, throwing her to the floor and repeatedly hitting her in the head.

When deputies arrived at the home, they said the woman's face was scratched and bruised.

Hyson was booked into Pasco County Jail on $500 bond.
