A Port Richey woman was accidentally shot in the leg last night after a man standing in front of the New America condominiums took his own life.
The Pasco County Sheriff's office says 28-year-old Michael Bruty shot himself in the head after a fight with his girlfriend.
The bullet then traveled across the parking lot, around two cars and into the leg of 39-year-old Jeane Sams.
Sams was reportedly visiting family at the complex. She was taken to Bayonett Point Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
