An unexpected loiterer was seen outside of a central Florida Wal-Mart late Saturday night.

A 6-foot gator showed up like it owned the place and plopped in front of a sliding glass door at store on Orange Blossom Trail in Apopka.

Needless to say, it got a lot of attention from customers and workers.

Wal-Mart employees eventually had to lock the door because it kept sliding open.

Robin Watkins was inside shopping when someone told her there was a gator outside, so she, like many others, went to check it out.

"It was just ... neat," she said. "But I am glad they locked the doors for safety because I do have my child with me."

Apparently, the gator came from a nearby lake. After a while, it got bored and ambled off to the woods.
