A Bradenton family is grateful to have their pet back.
City of Bradenton Fire Department personnel responded to a report of a kitten in a tree at 10:48 a.m. Monday.
Upon arrival, Captain Jeff Bruski and Engineer Jim Cutway spoke with a family whose kitten was in a pine tree approximately 25 feet up.
The cat was too frightened to come down on its own.
So, by using the truck's ladder and basket, Captain Bruski was able to safely rescue the kitten within a few minutes.
