Red-light cameras are going up at another intersection in Tampa.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, the new cameras will be installed at the intersection of Fowler and 30th Street, where Bruce B Downs Boulevard begins.

The additional cameras bring the city's total to 48. That's twice as many red-light cameras that were up in 2011.

Police say the cameras are working. In 2012, they handed out 63,000 tickets for running red lights. This fiscal year, the number of red-light tickets was down to 55,000.

City officials say they hope the additional cameras will get even more drivers to slow down and pay better attention.
