Pasco deputies arrested a man on charges of impersonating a law enforcement officer after they said the fake cop went on a donut run.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, Charles Thomas Barry drove through the Dunkin Donut drive through on State Road 54 in Trinity on November 6, displayed a badge, identified himself as law enforcement and asked for discount on his order of donuts.

When he was refused a discount Barry, 48, held up a pistol which was still in a holster and stated, "See I am a cop," according to officials.

The witness, a Dunkin Donuts employee, said Barry never pointed the gun at him and never took it out of his holster but did display it to him. A day later, Barry came through the drive through and his vehicle tag was obtained by the manager.

On Tuesday, surveillance was set up by the sheriff's office.

When Barry came to the drive through window, he was stopped by authorities. While speaking with Barry, a deputy observed he had a law enforcement badge in his wallet.

He was also carrying a .38 caliber revolver in his front pocket. He was positively identified by store personnel and arrested on charges of impersonating a law enforcement officer and improper exhibition of a firearm or dangerous weapon.
