An Inverness Middle School student is back at school after suffering serious injuries caused by a fatal motorcycle accident.

Jazmine Lee is taking her life back despite some unbelievable obstacles.

"There is no question about it," Lee said. "I like hard times because it tested my personality."

Just over a year ago doctors told Lee she wouldn't survive her injuries. Lee's was injured in a motorcycle accident that killed her father. Now she's battling a traumatic brain injury and going back to school at the same time.

"I know! I love it," she said.

Last month she came back to Inverness Middle School full time as an eighth grader. After months of hard work before she could return to school, she now has a lot to relearn.

Despite the obstacles, Lee said she's not afraid to talk about it with her friends.

"I get to tell them all about the drama," Lee said.

Robin Martone is one of Jazmine's teachers and has been tutoring her since she got home from the hospital.

"It's huge," Martone said. "The transformation from when she came home to now is unbelievable."

Lee is excited to be back in school and having fun with her friends, where she has wanted to be for months.

She said she is determined to succeed and has a message for anyone who doesn't believe she can.

"I'd be saying yeah right, you better get that thought out of your little brain," said Lee.

Jazmine says she wants to be a model when she is done with school so keep an eye out for her.
