The coldest air of the holiday weekend moved into the area overnight, bringing temperatures into the 30s for most of the Bay area on Thanksgiving.

Temperatures overnight dipped to 26 degrees in Homosassa while Tampa was 38 degrees. St. Petersburg saw a 44-degree reading. The northeast winds made it feel even colder.

According to Bay News 9 Meteorologist Brian McClure, temperatures will not be as cold Friday morning, but they will still be cool.

"For Citrus and Hernando County we expect lows in the upper 30s to low 40s. Pasco-mid 40s. Polk-upper 40s to near 50. Manatee- upper40s to low 50s. Pinellas-low 50s. Hillsobourgh- upper 40s to near 50," McClure said.

The warming trend will continue this weekend.
