Bay area residents can expect slightly lower temperatures on Thursday as a cold front works its way through the region.

According to Bay News 9 Meteorologist Diane Kacmarik, temperatures will top out in the low 70s today before dropping overnight.

"Temperatures will be close to normal this afternoon” Kacmarik said. "But it will be cooler this evening with temperatures in the low 60s and down into the 40s to low 50s overnight."

Conditions will be breezy and partly sunny today, becoming mostly clear tonight.

"It will feel a little chillier tonight," Kacmarik said. "Because the dew points will be lower, the air will be drier and the breezes will be up."
