Friday's cool start to the day won't last long.

According to Bay News 9 Meteorologist Diane Kacmarik, the early-morning temperatures in the 40s and 50s will rise to the mid 70s by the afternoon.

"High clouds in from the northwest indicate warm air arriving into our area," Kacmarik said. "The filtered sunshine we will get today will be enough to warm things up."

The warm conditions will continue during the weekend before a cold front arrives Saturday night.
