An investigation is underway after Sunday night's triple shooting at a Kenneth City home.

According to Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, the gunman who opened fire on two people in the home was shot and killed moments later by one of the shooting victim's son, who lives next door.

Deputies said Gjon Hila, 38, showed up at the home in the 4000 block of 58th Street Sunday night. Once inside, Hila shot and injured 52-year-old Tonin Poti and 38-year-old Gzim Rrgalla.

Authorities said Tonin Poti's 28-year-old son, Elton, heard the shots, grabbed his own gun and went over to the home.

Elton Poti found Hila still in the home and shot and killed him.

Tonin Poti and Gzim Rrgalla were rushed to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with life-threatening injuries.

Authorities said all of the people knew each other.

At this point, it's not clear what led up to the shooting.

No charges are anticipated against Elton Poti.
