A federal grand jury has indicted a Lutz man on several drug and sex trafficking charges.

Andrew Blane Fields, 62, faces three charges of sex trafficking and two charges of distributing Oxycodone, Dilaudid and Morphine.

Prosecutors say Fields controlled three women with prescription drugs from 2008 to 2012 and forced them to commit sex acts for money.

Officers say they discovered thousands of pills from Fields' home in the 1900 block of E 151st Ave, according to Bay News 9's partner newspaper, The Tampa Bay Times.

If convicted, he could serve life in prison.

Officers arrested him on March 20.

He is currently in the Pinellas County Jail.

This case was investigated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), with the assistance of the Clearwater Police Department and members of the Clearwater Area Human Trafficking Task Force. It will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Josephine W. Thomas and Trial Attorney William E. Nolan with the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division's Human Trafficking Prosecution Unit.
