The Citrus County mother charged with killing her own child has had another baby.

Chelsea Huggett, who remains in jail, delivered a baby girl on Monday night.

According to The Florida Department of Children and Families, the newborn has been placed with family members.

The agency went before the court on Wednesday and was granted probable cause to remove the infant.

She will remain in protective custody.

The Department will review the case for the termination of parental rights as to the mother, and paternity for the father will be established.

This case and the details related to the newborn are protected by confidentiality laws.
