Speculation continues to grow over a possible Trader Joe's grocery store in the Bay area.

Apparently, the project is inching closer to becoming a reality.

According to partner newspaper the Tampa Bay Times, the developer, CAP Tampa LLC, hired Barry Byrd Architecture in Knoxville, Tenn to design the store.

The 12,300-square-foot facility is slated to be built near Dale Mabry Highway and Swann Avenue in South Tampa. Construction on the $1 million store could begin as soon as late July.

Developers say they are working on a project on Swann but have not confirmed it is a Trader Joe's.

The chain is a specialty grocery store.
