The Bay area saw a return of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon, making for a wet commute home.
Flooding was reported earlier in central Pinellas County. A flood advisory issued for that part of the county has since expired.
"It's really acted like an early July or August day here in early September," said Bay News 9 Chief Meteorologist Mike Clay.
Storms will continue to linger for the next couple of hours and should die down by 11 p.m.
