A local charity is looking to feed thousands of families this holiday season, so they're starting early.

Bill Currie Ford in Tampa helped Metropolitan Ministries kick-off this year's campaign.

Folks were asked to bring in food donations to help fill up the bed of a Ford F-150 truck and a vintage mustang convertible.

The auto dealership's general manager, Tim Joslin said he's glad his company could help out.

"We’ve been in this community for 53 years, and we've been well supported by this community and figured this would be a nice way to give back. There's a lot of need right now in the Tampa Bay area, and this is a good way for us to do it," said Joslin.

Metropolitan Ministries is launching its biggest food drive ever.

The charity is hoping to hand out more than 700,000 pounds of food this holiday season.
