A crash late Tuesday left a stretch of Interstate 75 closed for several hours overnight near the Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard exit in Tampa.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash involved six vehicles, including a semi-truck in the southbound lanes just before 11 p.m. The fire emergency crews at the scene reported that one of the vehicles was engulfed in flames.

Crews quickly extinguished the fire but the driver of the vehicle, Henry J. Focht, 60, died at the scene.

Two other people were taken to an area hospital in fair condition.

Troopers spent several hours investigating the crash before lanes were reopened just before 6 a.m.
